Fahmi R. Fahroji is a PhD student in Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA). He holds a MRes in Human Geography from the University of Glasgow (UK) and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia). Fahroji’s current research examines the social history of oil in Indonesia, with a focus on the intersections of underground spaces, subterranean epistemologies, and petroleum science and technology.
