Proshant Chakraborty is a doctoral candidate in Social Anthropology at the School of Global Studies, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His Ph.D. thesis examines the repair and maintenance of public-transport infrastructures in Mumbai. Prior to his doctoral studies, Proshant was an independent research consultant and applied anthropologist in Mumbai.
