Pinaki Chandra is a Ph.D. student in Anthropology at Cornell University. He is interested in how bodies, commodities, and geographies come to be valued under different political economic regimes, and how such articulations take place in relation to the environment and imaginations of the future. His dissertation research looks at the politics of urban expansion and property-making in the East Kolkata Wetlands.
