Ludovic Bakebek is a doctoral student at the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences of the University of Liège (Belgium). His research focuses on labor dynamics in the construction sector in Cameroon. He is currently developing a critique of the concept of “informal economy” while proposing alternative ways of understanding urban economies in contemporary Africa.
